US time: 7 Dec 7:24pm
S’pore time: 8 Dec 11:24am

Current location: Williams. We went to the fish hatchery this morning!! Sad to say we didn’t manage to see any fish jump up coz it wasn’t the season yet. Sob.

When we went down the mountain there was a very steep slope. And then the car skidded. The brakes didn’t work. My dad had to switch to hand gear. I was fast asleep and without my seat belt on. Oops.

We wanted to go to the geysers but we couldn’t go up. So we learnt about it from the exhibition at the visitors’ center. Geothermal energy, clean and green. the business there is very profitable! So I asked my dad how come you buy so many houses in Singapore then never buy a piece of land there? Every year the land owners are paid USD$20 million!!!!

Will definitely definitely reach san Francisco tmr!

US time: 9 Dec 9:59pm
S’pore time: 10 Dec 1:59pm

McDonalds for breakfast and lunch, burger king for dinner, im very close to vowing to abstain from fast food for the rest of my life!

We saw the sea lions today!! And at pier 39 there were so many Singaporeans! We knew they were Singaporeans coz of all the singlish they were using. Oh and I saw this girl wearing Crescent’s class of 2005 graduating sweater! But she looked a bit small to be 16.

Stanford university is so so impressive! Its like a town itself! Its massive, bigger than you can ever imagine! And my mum kept repeating this sentence: one look and you can tell that Stanford is one class higher. Oh well, I dun think I can get in anyway. My parents were saying if both my sis and I get in then they’ll move over to live there. My bro, who will be in ns, will be left all alone at home! Hah!

We went to the visitor center at Stanford university which was mended by students. And the guy we were talking to keep asking me so many questions. He asked so where you all from? And I replied Singapore. Then he was asking if I am a prospective student. When I said yes he said cool! Then he went on to ask how old I am, what grade am I in, blah blah blah. Are all Caucasians that chatty?

We also visited the golden gate bridge again. And the golden gate bridge park. On the way I saw this couple, and guess what? The man was carrying the woman’s bag. Willingly. I was like whoa! Why is it hardly any Singaporeans do that? Even at maidenform (the bra store), so many men were there. What were they doing there? They were paying for everything the women bought! My dad was saying siao! I go there for what? All women’s things! Haiz…see why my bro is like that? If I really study here I think I’ll most likely be so attracted by the chivalry of the Caucasians that I will end up marrying one of them.

We went to UC Berkley yesterday, much less serious than Stanford, much more casual than Stanford. It was smaller and the floor was so much dirtier! but they had more asian food there.
