lets see..i remember getting disconnected with my mum in jb and the horrifying 1.5 hour jb taxi ride on the 22nd. the taxi driver just couldnt find the place. he kept going round in circles! -_-"
on the 24th i had lunch at st regis. italian buffet lunch! they had really nice lamb chop. i dont like lamb coz of the smell but this one barely had any trace of it. plus they had pretty pretty desserts! and it costs only 42 bucks after tax and service charge which is kinda cheap for a hotel. oh and i love their lifts!
christmas was spent at aunty nancy's house. my mum's friend. we played scrabble. aunty nancy is damn good! gee shes like some word whiz! at night my mum went to meet her friends then she came home and told me that her friend's son is hall 1 president. i was like oh that guy that came knocking for votes? i told her how i made him justify why i should vote for him and my mum called her friend to tell him how i gave his son a hard time -_-"
finally visited my aunt over the weekend. she cooked this really yummy fish soup noodles. reminds me that im gonna have to cook my meals the whole of next sem. 5 days in hall. omg.
mon and tues was spent shopping with my mum. she had 1 night free stay in hilton. we met my aunt for dinner on mon night. my beef noodles soup. my dad brought me there once and i fell in love with it ever since. i dont know if it is the same store after so many years but it was good enough =) bought sushi back for supper. and hilton's steam room is awesome! its well ventilated unlike sicc. and it was so steamy i didnt have to lie on my front. if you get what i mean ;)
stayed over at zhenling's place last night. when i met her she asked me about my results and i was like isnt it the 12th? then she told me her friends in ntu already got their results. i thought it was 29th but when i logged in they said 12th so apparently i logged in in the wrong place. good thing andrew helped me out. haha. my dad scolded me for being overly confident about stats. i knew i screwed up my finals. my mind just wasnt there. given my coursework i could have easily gotten at least an A. sigh. but oh wells i didnt expect to do so well for marketing. the thing about marketing is there isnt any guidelines. so it was hard to predict what the examiners were looking for. guess i got lucky heh.

driving is going well. did perpendicular parking today. finally mastered directional change and s shaped course. but my turning on the road is still falling short. bah.
i just wanna stay in 2008. i dont want to go into 2009. coz its gonna be a tough year ahead.
farewell party at admore park clubhouse last night. gosh the toilets are really posh! and the catered indian food was really good! plus the jokes were kinda funny. just that watching people play pool is boring haha.
went out today with my parents. first to ntu to check if my fridge exploded or something. had lunch there. then we went to jurong point and west mall to shop. got back home just in time for steamboat and tang yuan coz today is dong zhi. yups. my mum wanted to drink wine tonight but i was like wine last night, wine tonight then wine tomorrow too?? ive been eating loads of cold stuff lately. im so in for it next week. sigh.
and my mum's dragging me for her company's walk cum breakfast cum lunch bbq tomorrow. then at night i have to go to jb for my maternal grandparents' 80th birthday celebration. gonna miss the pwc vt gathering. i was telling my mum its at ECP and we are going to JB. so she said ahh you rather come with me? and i told her uh it takes almost the same time for me to go to ECP and JB. funny huh?
so it will only be 1 day break from partying before more christmas partying. gee im gonna have to diet after christmas!
i know this sounds ironic but now i hate that the test dates are not moving! hmph.
and i knocked over one of the poles coz i turned too early =X and and i almost lost control over the car while overtaking. oops. i was multi-tasking..trying to turn back into the left lane, checking the mirrors and cancelling the signal. my instructor was like woah woah! haha =P
he kept complaining i was going too fast. he was stepping on the brake while i was stepping on the accelerator. rahh. i was only at 60. and the speed limit was 70. but at one point the speed limit was at 60 and i was at 65 ;) he didnt realise coz he was too busy on the phone. then when the lights suddenly turned amber, i was like oh shit!!!!! and my first reaction was to hit the brakes. hard. my instructor was like not so hard not so hard! damn if i had my license i would be stepping on the accelerator and not the brake heh.
still waiting to book my prac test coz the available dates now arent what im looking for.
went to newton after that to meet the c1s. a mini gathering coz mar was back. finally got to taste my newton duck rice again after so many years!
came home and watched little nonya till 1am. i was like eh why so many ads de? coz i recorded it. then i realised oh yea today is the 2 hour show. im sad coz i wish yueniang will marry chen xi. but since the xiao qi in the show called chen xi "chen xi" and not "grandpa" means yueniang and chen xi probably wont get married =(
went up to see the newly renovated office. feels kinda..exposed. everyone is reshuffled. i kept walking to and fro to find people. i miss working there =( must must get into pwc audit for intern next year otherwise my mum is gonna pack me off to kpmg. im so jealous of rui fen. bahh. she got into pwc audit! perm staff! rahhhh
i love IAS7 but if i do tax then its gonna be tax for life. which isnt exactly what i want. but i sure miss my 7 months there. though its never gonna be the same again. our batch of vts is gone. and so many perm staff left =(
oh speaking of which...now the vts have their own area. right outside all the managers room. and they dont have cubicles. no walls to give privacy. its just one long bench to be shared by 5 of them. gee. that means no excessive sametiming, msn, facebook, personal calls, smsing...ahem ahem. hahaha =P
i hung around coz i was supposed to have tuition at 4pm but my student's mum messaged to say that something cropped up so tuition has to be rescheduled. i left shortly after getting her message. i remember walking on those streets. and the ride home was...nostalgic.
at home i lazed around on my bed. looked up at my ceiling and thought hey life's pretty good =)

okay let me recall first...
tues was my mum's birthday. i spent 3 hours in the kitchen preparing dinner and baking her birthday cake. so i only started packing my stuff at 1115pm and my flight was at 735am. usually i start packing like 2 weeks before my trip. but this time maybe coz it was really rush. after exams i still had some stuff to settle and i wasnt really in the holiday mood. for whatever reason. when the taxi drove out of PV i was like shit im starting to miss home already.
i think the aircraft is new. the seats are like wider. and since the plane was only 2/3 full, my baby hippo got its own seat too! haha. i couldnt sleep so i spent the 5 hours watching movies. and they were supposed to serve brunch. and shouldnt brunch be at like 11 or something? they served brunch at 8:30am!
okay so we got there. checked in. and my mum went to work while my dad and i went to da mu zi. ate lunch then went to shop at carefour. the toilet was gross. i went in and refused to pee. yeah it was that bad.
my mum and sis came to pick us and we went to eat xiao yang shen jian and bbq stuff for dinner. i almost stepped on a dead rat! my dad was like dont step dont step! then when i looked down i saw this rat..squished. i was like eew and i screamed and jumped over it and grabbed my dad's hand. yuck.

i sure hope china cleaned up its milk mess coz i drank loads of milk tea there.
hippo was freezing at night too.
on thurs we went to the tailor then went to eat xiao long bao at chen huan miao. my hands were shaking from the cold, i couldnt even pick up the xiao long baos with the chopsticks. my dad had to feed me hahaha. then we went shopping and i bought a bag heh.
dinner was on a cruise. traffic to the jetty was so bad i had motion sickness. then this boat was moving and i was supposed to eat on a moving boat. the combination was horrible. i was all giddy. couldnt wait for the boat to stop.
then on fri we went to fu dan university. my sis' school. we ate la mian and shopped around the area. it was freezing. the second i stepped out of the car i became this block of ice. i had to hide behind my dad coz the wind was so strong. my sis bought egg tarts for me. its called ke neng shi shang hai di yi dan ta. really delicious. but the egg was so soft i made a mess hee.
went to shop for shoes with my sis before having dinner with my mum's colleague at the si chuan restuarant. then we went to lotus to shop for more food stuff. and i bought long john coz i really couldnt take the cold. my sis pushed me around in the cart like she used too. just that i think her driving skills got worse hahaha
sat was spent at the factory outlet. bought reebok running shoes! i saw this really cool silver and baby blue pair that was really comfy. it was like moulded for my feet or something. but it was too shallow for running and it was way too expensive for walking. that kind of price is only justified for a running pair. i bought a total of 4 shoes in that 1.5 days hee.
after shopping was sightseeing.
had dinner at zhang sheng ji with my mum's other colleague and his family. awesome view of the shanghai tan. oh yes and we bought some dvds before dinner haha. but i couldnt find any nice HK drama serials. bahh. my sis tried to pick out some dance serials but they didnt really interest me. and somehow china's tv channels didnt have any nice shows too. i remembered when i went there at the end of sec 2 we were all glued to the tv coz every channel had something good. but every night and morning in the hotel i flip the 50 channels 5 times and still couldnt find something nice to watch. hmph.
on sun we moved out early. went sightseeing. uhhh okay i cant recall the first place we visited. crap. anyways we bought honey and ginko nuts! and saw the beautiful tai hu. but it was damn cold. my sis wanted to sit the speed boat and i was like noooo im already freezing!

i slept half of the flight back to sg. again hippo got its own seat with 3 pillows! haha.
reached sg at about 535am. got home at around 6+? i went to bed at 645am and woke up at 1045am. that has got to be my new record. my last was probably 9am or so?
woke up to eat brunch. my maid told me that someone from the 17th floor in our block jumped. i live on the 19th floor.
